Game Security
Octopus Kin is the game-security team of Shadowmire Studio. It keeps our games fair: the server decides every result, every purchase is confirmed with the store, and a person reads every report.
Every battle is replayed on our servers from the player's own moves, and only the server's result counts.
When an account banned for refund abuse, or banned for good, is deleted, a new account with the same Apple or Google sign-in is refused for as long as the ban runs.
Our server confirms each purchase with Apple or Google before it gives anything.
A refund leaves a balance owed, and spending stops until it is repaid. Repeated refunds bring a ban.
Requests are limited per player and per action, and their size is capped.
A report is reviewed by a person, and a mute comes only from that review. Names and chat pass a word filter; if the filter can't load, writing stops instead of going through unchecked.
Every connection is encrypted. Sign-in sessions are kept as fingerprints, never the original; Apple's keys are sealed; backups are encrypted before they leave the server.
Write to support@shadowmire.studio. Tell us the game, the player's ID if you have it, and what you saw.
